Terms of Service

Effective 15 July 2026. By accessing TickTape, or by funding, deploying or operating an agent that calls TickTape, you agree to these Terms as the agent's operator. Plainly written; material changes will be announced in llms.txt.

What TickTape is

TickTape is a read-only analytics service for Polymarket. It answers questions with reasons and numbers: pre-flight checks on orders, copyability ratings on wallets, leaderboards, and historical market data. It never places orders, never holds your funds or keys, and never gives financial advice. Verdicts are deterministic arithmetic on live order books and published fee schedules — measurements, not predictions and not investment advice. What you do with them is your decision and your risk.

Payments

Paid calls are settled via the x402 protocol in USDC on Base. A payment is final once it settles on-chain.

The order of operations protects you: we verify the payment authorization, do the work, and only then settle the payment. If the work fails, the payment is never settled — failed work is never charged. Retrying with the same payment authorization returns the cached response for that authorization; it never results in a double charge.

If you believe you were charged without receiving a response, write to hello@ticktape.cc. Verified cases are refunded to the paying wallet in USDC within 14 days.

Credits

$5 buys 500 credits. Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase and are bound to the wallet that paid — they cannot be transferred to another wallet. Buying again with the same wallet adds credits and issues a fresh bearer token; the last 5 tokens per wallet stay valid, older ones stop working. Beyond the charge-without-response case above, credits are non-refundable.

Promotional credits

We occasionally grant free credits via promotional codes redeemed at POST /api/redeem. Codes are announced in community posts. One redemption per wallet per code; each code has a global redemption cap and an expiry date. Promotional credits have no cash value, are non-refundable and non-transferable, and may be revoked in case of abuse or error. In all other respects they behave like purchased credits.

License to results

A paid response is yours to use. You may store it, cache it, feed it into your agent's decisioning, publish or quote it with attribution to ticktape.cc, and use it to evaluate models or strategies.

What you may not do: resell raw responses at scale as a competing data feed, or systematically re-distribute responses in a way that substitutes for buying calls. The raw archive behind the service is not for sale and no license to it is granted.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, payments, or sandbox boundaries. Do not use the service from sanctioned jurisdictions where doing so is prohibited by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend wallets or tokens that abuse the service. If we discontinue the service, unused credits on active wallets will be refunded to the paying wallet in USDC.

Third-party dependencies

The service depends on Polymarket public APIs, the Base network, Coinbase CDP payment facilitation, and Cloudflare. Outages of any of them can interrupt the service. We accept no liability for third-party failure beyond the refund rules above.

Availability

TickTape is a beta service, provided as-is with best-effort availability and no SLA. Endpoints, prices, and data coverage can change; material changes are announced in llms.txt.

Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or decisions made on the basis of verdicts or data. This cap does not apply where liability cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
