Privacy, briefly
TickTape is built to know as little about you as possible.
What we store
No human accounts and no behavioral profiles. We retain only the operational data listed below. There are no accounts, no signup, no forms, no cookies set by us, and no trackers beyond Cloudflare's aggregate, cookie-less analytics.
About paying agents: a purchase record (paying wallet address, product, amount, timestamp) - the same information that is already public on the Base blockchain where the payment settles - plus the prepaid credit balance bound to that wallet. Bearer token secrets are stored only as hashes.
About API calls: transient rate-limit counters keyed by IP (expire within 25 hours) and, for paid calls, a short-lived response cache keyed by the payment authorization (expires within 24 hours) so retries are never double-charged.
What we never do
No selling of personal data, no advertising, no e-mail lists, no cross-site tracking. Wallet addresses and on-chain activity are publicly available and generally pseudonymous. They may constitute personal data where they can be linked to an identifiable individual. TickTape does not intentionally attempt to identify natural persons behind wallets.

The formal part
Everything above is the whole story. What follows maps it onto the vocabulary of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for readers who need that mapping.

Retention
- Rate-limit counters: at most 25 hours.
- Response cache for paid calls: at most 24 hours.
- Purchase and sales records: for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Credit balances: for the life of the balance, then the accounting retention period.
- Analytics data (profiles, leaderboards, red lists): rolling analysis windows, plus archived aggregates.
- Promo redemption records (wallet string, redemption marker, zero-value ledger row): retained for promo-abuse control.
Processors and recipients
We use a small number of infrastructure providers, each acting as a processor:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, storage.
- Coinbase Developer Platform — payment facilitation.
- DigitalOcean — batch compute.
Each of these providers may process data outside the EU under their standard contractual safeguards.
Public sources
Wallet addresses, pseudonyms, and trading activity that appear in our datasets and verdicts come from Polymarket's public feeds and the public Base and Polygon blockchains. We do not collect this information from you.

Where the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. Exercise any of them via hello@ticktape.cc. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ, uoou.gov.cz).
How to exercise your rights
Send an e-mail to hello@ticktape.cc and include the wallet address in question, since that is the only identifier we hold. Expect an answer within 30 days.
